In the
morning, we took the first
class of Denise.
We learned about the rules of homestay. |
| Feb. 20th (Mon) | |
 |
We went to a local fire department to ask firefighters some questions. We wore a firefighting suit and sprayed water with a hose. The firefighters were so kind and cool. We enjoyed visiting the place and had a special time. |
| Feb. 22nd (Wed) | |
 |
We went to Leavenworth. It took about 3 hours to go there from our study center by car. There were lots of shops with Christmas goods in Leavenworth. We had lunch at a German reataurant and the meal was so good. After that we enjoyed shopping and bought some souvenirs for our host family. |
| Feb. 23rd (Thu) | |

We went to the city hall in Federal Way and heard about the city. We asked a police officer some questions and saw a police dog. We played with the police dog. He was so strong. |
| Feb. 24th (Fri) | |

We
went to Green River Community College in the
morning. The college was clean and big.
We had lunch at the cafeteria and it was so delicious. We went to a retirement home in the afternoon. It was so big and beautiful. We sang some Japanese songs for senior people. We enjoyed talking with them too. |

We went to an elementary school and taught children how to count from 1 to 10 in Japanese and how to write their own names in Japanese. The children were so smart. I was so glad that they asked us a lot of questions about Japan. After lunch, we played with the children outside. We had a good time. |
| Feb. 28th (Tue) | |

We learned about American holidays. We had some delicious dishes for lunch. We wore Halloween costumes in the afternoon and I wore a little red riding hood's costume. It was such a fun activity. |
| Feb. 29th (Wed) | |

We went to Seattle for sightseeing. The weather was not good, but Seattle was still a wonderful city. We visited Pike Place Market, (just seeing) Space Needle, Safeco Field and so on. My favorite places were Pike Place Market and Safeco Field. I want to watch a baseball game next time. |
