Denise's Classes
Feb. 17th (Fri.) Welcome
Party
 |
We had the first Denise's class that day. We learned about American culture and played some American games in the morning. In the afternoon, we went shopping to a mall near the study center. We enjoyed shopping and eating lunch. In the evening, we came back to the study center with our host family for the Welcome Party. We ate delicious American food. I had a good time. |
Feb. 20th (Mon.) Fire Department

We went to
a fire department. We asked
fire fighters some questions
about the fire department and fire fighters in
America.
After that, we wore a fire fighting suit and some of us had water-shooting experience. It was a wonderful experience for me. |
Feb. 22nd (Wed.) Leavenworth
 |
We went to
Leavenworth.
It took about 3 hours from the study center to
Leavenworth by bus. We ate German food for lunch and enjoyed shopping. My favorite store was a store which sold funny hats and funny glasses. |
Feb. 27th (Mon.) Elementary School
 |
We went to
an elementary school.
We taught children how to count from 1 to 10 in
Japanese. I was surprised, because American
children were quick learners. After that, we played with the children. American children were very powerful. We kept running till the time for lunch. I got exhausted, but I had such a fun time! |
Feb. 29th (Wed.) Seattle Sightseeing

We went to
Seattle for sightseeing.
We went to University of Washington, the first Starbucks store, Pike Place Market, Space
Needle and so on. Since it was rainy that day,
we didn't go up to Space Needle. I was
disappointed, but I
enjoyed shopping and sightseeing instead.
I bought a Seattle T-shirt and many souvenirs that day. I had a good time! |
Mar. 5th (Mon.) Sayonara Party

We held
Sayonara Party that
day. We made the presentation about
"sumo" with wearing
yukata.
I was a little nervous when we started our
presentation, but everyone enjoyed the
presentation. I was
very happy! |
