Fun Days

Feb. 18 (Sat)

Jane, Runa, her host mother Bonnie, her host sister Marissa and I went to a hamburger restaurant. I ate a cheeseburger and French fries for lunch. American hamburgers are larger than Japanese ones. I was surprised and it was delicious.
After lunch, we went to TARGET. It's a big mall. The day was Tamera's birthday, so I bought a birthday card and origami for her present. Tamera is Jane's daughter.
Daryl, Jane and I went to the birthday party for Tamera in the evening. I met Tamera, her husband and friends at the party. Tamera's friends were merry and unique. I taught them how to say "grandmother," "grandfather" and "birthday" in Japanese. I had a great time.

Feb. 25 (Sat)

My host family, Runa, Bonnie and I went to the seaside by car. There were many kinds of shops there. We went to a coffee shop, a book store and so on. The book store had funny books and Japanese books too. The Japanese book was a photograph collection. I ate turkey for lunch. It was big, so I shared it with Runa. It was delicious.

Feb. 26 (Sun)

I made a bead necklace with Jane. She was very skillful but I wasn't. Jane still said to me "Good, you can make it by yourself." She helped me make it until I finished it.
After that, Runa, Bonnie and I went to a shopping mall. The mall had big commodities and everything was cheap, so I was surprised.
I went to a restaurant with my host family in the evening. The restaurant's name was CARRS, and there were number-plates and parts of cars in the restaurant. The meal was very delicious, but I couldn't eat all the food.

Feb. 27 (Mon)

After the lesson, I went to a restaurant with my host family. My host family's son Josh is the owner of the restaurant. Josh and I have the same birthday, so I was very surprised. We talked about my childhood and boyfriend. The meal was very delicious.
After we came back home, Jane made cake for the next day. I saw her working and advised her. The cake was very pretty.

Mar. 3 (Sat)

Jane, Runa, Bonnie, Marissa and I went to Bellevue by car. It was a very big city. We met Tamera at the shopping mall. She was a baby-sitter, and she was with a little boy. She told Runa and me about American young people's popular clothes. We ate pasta for lunch. It was delicious. I paid tip for the first time.
I made Okonomiyaki with Jane for dinner. It's Jane's favorite food.

Mar. 4 (Sun)

I celebrated Happy Girls Day with Jane, Runa, Bonnie and Marissa. I made salad pasta, sandwiches, muffins and cookies with Jane. I enjoyed cooking with Jane. The meal was delicious.
After that, Runa, Marissa and I played Wii Sports and Mario Brothers. I enjoyed it very much.
I ate tempura with my host family and Runa. I made miso soup. I felt I came back to Japan.
