Pleasant Weekends

February 18th, Saturday   "Church and Shopping Mall"

In the morning, George made breakfast for me.  It was very good.  After that, George, Karen and I went to church.  Karen  looked after some children while parents were listening to the minister's speech, so I played with those children. They were cute.
In the afternoon, we went to a big shopping mall in downtown Seattle.  I  think it's the biggest one that I have ever been.  And we enjoyed lunch and talking at Red Robin.
In the evening, we watched "the Wizard of Oz" on DVD at home.  George and I both like "Over the Rainbow," which is the theme song from the movie. I was happy to hear it.

February 19th, Sunday   "TERIYAKI"

We went to another church that day and ate breakfast there.  I talked with a lot of people, so I was happy.
After that, we went to a restaurant called "TERIYAKI" for lunch.  The meal was very good!
In the evening, Karen and I went to a grocery store and bought some ingredients for lunch.

February 25th, Saturday   "Hot Dog and Japanese Food"

In the morning, George and I went to church.  After that, George took me to Costco.  We ate a hot dog for lunch.  It was very popular.  It's the best hot dog I have ever eaten!
In the afternoon, George and I went to H Mart, which is an Asian grocery store.  I bought some ingredients because I was planning to cook Japanese food for dinner.  After that, I cooked stew at Emily's house.  It was hard for me to use an American kitchen knife but Kim helped me, so I enjoyed cooking.  I felt short on the taste when I ate the stew but everyone said to me, "It was delicious."  I was happy to hear that.
After dinner, we played a board game and ate popcorn.  I had a great time.

February 26th, Sunday   "Downtown and Upside-down Cake"

In the morning, George, Karen and I went to church and ate breakfast there.  I gave Japanese snacks to some children.  They were very pleased, so I was glad.
After that, we got on a ferry for Seattle with Aya.  Aya and I were enchanted by the beauty of the scenery from the ferry.
At lunch, we ate a lot of seafood with our fingers.  It was delicious!  I like seafood very much, so I was very happy.
In the evening, Karen and I made upside-down cake.  Karen was a good cook!

March 3rd, Saturday   "Shopping"

In the morning, George and I went to church.
In the afternoon, Karen took me to Tacoma Mall.  I enjoyed shopping and bought a lot of souvenirs for myself, my family and friends in Japan.  We ate ice cream too.  I was surprised to see ice cream with wedding cake flavor.

March 4th, Sunday   "University of Washington and Community Pool"

In the morning, we went to church.  I was very sad because the time had come for me to say good bye to the people who I met at the church.
After that, George and Karen took me to
University of Washington.  The university campus looked like a town, so I was surprised.  The library at UW was a beautiful building.
At lunch, we ate Mexican food and I ate tacos.  It was really good.
In the evening, Karen and I went to a community pool.  Karen lent me a snorkel.  I swam a lot because the snorkel was very fun to use.
