Laura's Classes

Laura
(Teacher Guide)@

Laura taught us a lot about American culture, English and so on at the study center.  She is cheerful and funny.   I talked a lot with Laura.  I love her!!@

Feb. 15th (Fri.)

I ate waffle in the morning.  Lin drove me to the study center.  In the afternoon, we went shopping.  Until the welcome party in the evening, I went to a park with my host family.  Logan played soccer, and he looked so cool!  At the welcome party, we ate many delicious dishes and asked questions for a game.
I spent a great time.

Feb. 18th (Mon.)

We went to a local fire department, and my host family came with us.  We asked firefighters some questions.  We later wore a firefighting suit and shot some water with a hose.  The firefighting suit was heavy.
In the afternoon, I made dinner with Lin.  The menu was samon steak, and it was delicious.  After dinner, I went to an ice cream shop with my host family.  The ice cream was so sweet and big!

Feb. 21st (Thu.)

We went to LeavenworthIt took about 3 hours by car to get there.  My host family came with us.  There were lots of shops and Christmas goods at Leavenworth.  The town was so pretty.  I bought some souvenirs for my friends.  We had lunch at a German restaurant, and the meal was delicious!

Feb. 22nd (Fri.)

We went to Green River Community College in the morning.  The college was big!  We met our old friends Sayaka and Kisaki at the school cafeteria.  In the afternoon, we went to  a retirement home.  The building was beautiful.  We sang some Japanese songs for the senior people.  We enjoyed it.
After I came back home, we went to the gym because Logan had a soccer practice.  He is good at playing soccer.  After the practice, we went to eat hamburger.  I ate Teriyaki burger, which was the most delicious burger that I  have ever eaten.

Feb. 25th (Mon.)

We learned about American holidays.   We wore Halloween costumes and I wore a spider mask.  It was very fun!  We had some delicious Thanksgiving dishes for lunch. The turkey that Lin made was very delicious!

Feb. 26th (Tue.)

We went to an elementary school.   We taught children how to count from 1 to 10 in Japanese and how to write the children's names in Katakana.   We played basketball and soccer outside with the children too.  The children were very active.  We really enjoyed playing with them, but I got so tired.
After I came back home, I took a nap.  After that, we went out to eat dinner.  I ate spaghetti.  It was delisious, but a little too much for me.

Feb. 28th (Thu.)

We went to  Seattle for sightseeing.  We went to the University of Washington. I was surprised because the university was so huge and they even had a bowling alley on campus.  We next visited Pike Place Market, Space Needle, Safeco Field and so on.  We enjoyed shopping all day.

Mar. 1st (Fri.)

We made a photo frame and a memory journal for our host family in the morning.  I made them wholeheartedly.
In the evening, I made curry rice for my host family.  When Lin said, "It's delicious,"  I felt really happy!  After dinner, we made Logan's birthday cake.   It took us a lot of time, but it was so fun. Logan looked happy too.
