Laura's Classes
Feb. 14th （Fri）
In the morning, we took Laura's class for the first
time. Laura taught us some American cultuer and rules
for homestaying
.
After lunch, we looked around the neighborhood of the study center, and we saw
some stores there.
In the evening, we had our
welcome party. We played a game and talked with host families. We ate
some delicious food too. I spent a good
time.

Feb. 17th
（Mon）
We visited a fire station in Federal Way. We
looked around the fire station and we asked firefighters some
questions about American fire stations. We
experienced wearing a firefighting suit. I was surprised because it was very heavy

Feb. 18th （Tue）
We used a sock
to make a snowman. Jane taught us how to make one. It was very
fun.

Feb. 20th （Thu）
We went sightseeing to
Seattle. First, we went to the University of Washington. The university had such a huge campus
and buildings. After that, we went to downtown Seattle. We looked
around Space Needle, Pike Place Market and Safeco Field.
I bought many souvenirs there.

Feb. 24th （Mon）
In the morning, we studied about
American holidays. We each wore Halloween costumes, and I
became a witch. After that, we ate some
Thanksgiving special meals
for lunch. They were delicious. We colored
Easter eggs too.

Feb. 25ｔh （Tue）
We visited an
elementary school. We taught children how to count from one to ten in
Japanese and how to write their names in
Katakana. At lunch time, we had
lunch with some children. They asked me many many
questions. After lunch, we played outside with the children.
They were cheerful and friendly
.
In the evening, Miyuki and I went to
a stadium to watch an ice hockey game with
my host family. I watched ice hocky for the first time, and I was very excited
.

Feb.
27th （Thu）
We went to Leavenworth. It was very far from the study center.
We found many kinds of cute goods and interesting goods
there. My favorite was a pretzel store, whose
building was so cute.

Mar. 3rd （Mon）
In the evening,
we wore
Yukata and took part in the Sayomara party.
We gave a presentation about"Japanese
Houses." I was nervous. I took a lot of pictures with
many people at the party.
I spent a good
time.
