The Weekends


Feb. 15th, Sat.　


   In the morning, Debbie and I went to Raina’s house .  It was a cute and comfortable house.  After that, we went to a Korean supermarket called H-MART .   Debbie bought me a cup ramen for my lunch and I chose some ingredients for miso soup.

   At home, we made miso soup.  Debbie said to me, “It is the best miso soup ever,” so I was glad .

Feb. 16th, Sun. 

   I went to church for the  first time.  Howard had a cold, so he didn't go together.  There were many people at the church.  Debbie and Mr. Nonaka introduced many people to me, but I couldn’t memorize their names because I was so nervous.   At thechurch, people were talking and singing.  It was a little too difficult for me to keep up the situation, but Debbie and Grandma Mary helped me out .  

   After dinner, Debbie and I went to church again.  I took a manners class with cute girls .

Feb. 22nd, Sat. 

   In the morning, we went to a Costco .   The place was very huge and the items sold at the store were a lot bigger than those sold at Japanese stores .  I was surprised to see them!  I enjoyed trying some sample food with Debbie.  I was very satisfied. 
    At home, I made rice balls and stew with Debbie.  Howard and Debbie liked my dish, so I was happy !  Yay!  After dinner, I enjoyed watching a movie “Mr. Bean ” with Debbie.  We laughed all the way through.

Feb. 23rd, Sun.  

   Howard made breakfast for us.  He was a good cook!  I liked his dishes.  Howard got over the cold and we went to church together.  It was still difficult for me to understand, but I enjoyed listening to the people sing .  And I was able to talk with many people.  They were really kind.    
   At home, Debbie taught me how to play a card game called  SKIP-BO .  It was so interesting!  We played it many times.

Mar. 1st, Sat. 

   March 3rd was Avalynn’s 1st birthday, and w e held a birthday party for her!  Raina’s family, Christa, Tim, Joe, Grandma Mary and DJ  came to the Herndon’s home.  Avalynn and Jimmie were really cute!  They made me happy.  The b irthday cake was so cute, but it was a little too sweet for me.  I enjoyed the party !  After that, I went to TARGET with Raina.  I enjoyed choosing some children clothes with her.  I liked shopping!

Mar. 2nd, Sun. 

   Howard made breakfast for us.  It was delicious!   At church, people were talking and singing.  It was difficult for me, but I was gradually getting used to reading and understanding the Bible. I was impressed.   Cadence came and picked me up to join her class and I played the “Apple Game ” with the children.  They were so kind and taught me kindly how to play the game.  I didn’t understand the rules very well, but I enjoyed the game with them anyway.

Beef!  It was splendid!
