Feb. 15th (Sun)
It was the first day I spent with my host
family.
Marianne, Adam and I went to IKEA. We have IKEA in Japan too,
but I have never been there. IKEA had many kinds of
furniture.
When we came home, I met Jeremy and Lauren for the
first time. They were kind and interesting. We watched, the movie "Big Hero
6." I had
never watched it. We watched it with English sound and English
subtitles, so it was very difficult for me. I could barely understand
the story, but the ending was very amazing and moving , so I
cried.
The dinner was Hawaiian pizza that day. I ate
it for the first time, and it was delicious. It became my
favorite food.
Feb. 21st
(Sat)
We didn't have any breakfast at home, and we
went to a cafe. I ate turkey sandwich. It was a half size, but it was
enough size for me. It was delicious.
After that, we went to
TARGET and Tacoma Mall to buy souvenirs. Marianne recommended me some shops to go and things to buy.
Thanks to her, I bought good souvenirs.
We ate the meat dish which Adam made for dinner. It was delicious. Adam is
really good at cooking. I liked the dishes which Adam made.
In
the evening, Lauren, Marianne and I watched horror
movies. We watched a movie and two short films, and I thought that
the Japanese movie was the scariest of all.

Feb. 22nd (Sun)
Adam, Marianne and I got on a
ferry . I saw some beautiful view, so I felt
good. I got the whole view of
downtown Seattle. I got on the ferry for the first
time, and it became a really good memory of
mine.
I made oyakodon and miso
soup for
dinner. Adam and Marianne said, "It's delicious." I was glad to hear
that. Adam and Marianne also liked Japanese rice. I was glad
that I'd brought it over from Japan.

Feb. 28th (Sat)
Adam, Marianne, Lauren, Jeremy
and I went to the aquarium and the zoo in Tacoma
City
. The aquarium
had big sharks. I had never watched one. I
was excited because I like sharks. I also watched the teeth
of a fossil megalodon. I had wanted to watch it for years, so I was lucky. I watched a
picture of a megalodon too. It looked more powerful than in real life.
We also watched many kinds of sea animals. They were cute.
In the zoo, we watched elephants, tigers, buffaloes and so on.
I had told Adam and Marianne that I wanted to go to the aquarium,
so I really enjoyed the visit.

Mar.
1st
(Sun)
In the
morning, Adam and I watched the movie "Kiki' Delivery
Service." I had known the story, so we watched the movie
with English sound and English subtitles,
but I sometimes got confused. It was Adam's mother's
birthday that day. Adam's family, Marianne and I went to
the restaurant called
Crab
Pot. I had known the restaurant, but I was
still surprised when a clerk scattered boiled sea food on the
table. I enjoyed eating there.
In the
afternoon, Adam, Marianne and I went to downtown Seattle, and went up Space Needle. Space Needle was high, so I enjoyed
seeing the beautiful view of Seattle from the top.
In the evening, we
went to Adam's parents's home. Adam's
family greeted me very warmly whenever I went there.
They were very kind, and I tought they were a great
family. Many thanks for your
kindness.
