The Weekends





Feb. 14th (Sat.)
   We arrived in Seattle and met Laura.  We went to a shopping mall, a Chocolate Factory, Snoqualmie Falls, and so on.  We had lunch at a diner, and we shared a big hamburger.
   In the late afternoon, we met our host families.  I met Jennifer, Cosette, and Cosette's friend Shannon.  I was nervous but happy to meet them .






Feb. 15th (Sun.) 
   In the morning, I went to church with Jennifer, Zach, Cosette, and Shannon.  I was happy to go there because many people at the church were kind and said "welcome" to me.  After coming back home, I gave some souvenirs from Japan to my host family.  I thought they liked them, and Hunter especially liked my souvenir, which was a monster ball of Poketmon. 
   In the evening, I went to the stadium to see an ice hockey game with Scott, Cosette, and Hunter.  It was my first time to see one, so I was very excited.  I also ate an ice cream  "dippin' dots," and it was very good.






Feb. 21st (Sat.)
   In the evening, we were having a party at home, so I went to a supermarket with Jennifer, Cosette, and her friends beforehand.  I was surprised because  about 10 of my host brothers' friends came to the party, and they were younger than me, but they all looked a lot more matured than me.  I enjoyed talking with some of their friends about Japan, eating food, and drinking slushy.






Feb. 22nd (Sun.)
   In the afternoon, I hung out with Cosette's friends.  In the evening, I watched  the Academy Awards ceremony on TV.  It was the first time for me to watch the ceremony, so I was happy to watch it.  I ate some Indian dish at dinner, and I really liked it.






Feb. 28th (Sat.)
   We were planing to go to the long beach, but we canceled the plan because Jennifer's father had passed away the day before.  Scott, Jennifer, Cosette, and Hunter had to go to California, so I had to say goodbye and moved to Laura's house .  It was an unexpected, so I was very sad.  I took pictures with the Boyer family and gave them some gifts.  After I moved to Laura's house, Laura and her husband Dennis took me to the South Mall in the evening.  I enjoyed shopping and dinner at an Italian restaurant with them.






Mar. 1st (Sun.)
   I enjoyed bird watching with Laura after breakfast. In the morning, Laura had some work at the church where I went with my host family before, so I went there with her.  After that, we went to MacDonald's with Dennis.  I ate a wrap, which we didn't have in Japan, and it was delicious.
   In the evening, we went to Point Defiance Zoo&Aquarium and Museum of Glass  in Tacoma.  I really enjoyed the visit.  After coming back home, we ate tacos, and it was very delicious.
