The Weekends


Feb. 15th (Sun)
   I went to  church with Mary.  I was a little nervous, but people talked to me kindly.  I listened to the performance of Glenn's church band for the first time.  His drum play was cool .  After that, Glenn let me try to play the drums.  It was very difficult for me.  
   Mary and I went to a pizza shop and bought pizzas for dinner.  They were made of two dough with a lot of cheese and bacon.  They were very big and delicious!  After dinner, we watched TV.  The program "MythBusters " was my favorite.  It was very funny. 


  
Feb. 21st (Sat)
   I went to the aquarium with Kako and her host family.  Jellyfish in the illuminated aquarium was very beautiful.  We ate clam chowder at a fomous restaurant, Ivar's .  It was really delicious.  
   In the evening,  we went to a theater and watched some performance.  The actors made various gestures and sang many songs, so the performance was very interesting and moving .  I was very excited.  After that, Laura led me to the backstage and I had a chance to meet the actors. 



Feb. 22nd (Mon)
   We went tothe zoo.  It was sunny and the zoo was very crowded.  The zoo was huge and we saw a lot of animals and fish.  It was very cute to see baby tigers playing with their parents .  I saw some rare animals such as wolves and polar bears.  I spent a good time.
   In the evening, two host brothers came and we ate dinner together.  After dinner, we watched the Academy Awards Ceremony on TV.  I like watching movies, so it was fun to watch the show. 



Feb. 28th (Sat)
   Glenn and I went to Seattle. When a traffic light turned green, Glenn gladly sang, "Green, Green." It was fun.  First, we visited the museum of music called "EMP."  We saw various exhibitions, such as Star Wars, musical instruments and the local NFL team Seahawks .  I was happy to be able to see Darth Vader .
   After lunch, we went to Space Needle.  The view was so beautiful.  I wanted to see the night view and thought that the view would be more beautiful.  I really had a good time.  



Mar. 1st (Sun)
   In the morning, we went to church.  In the evening, we went to the Museum of Flight.    We saw a lot of airplanes, fighter planes and a space shuttle.  We had a chance to get on the airplane for the US president or famous people as well as fighter planes. 
   We went to a restaurant to eat dinner.  I ate pasta with  shrimp and broccoli.  It was very delicious.
