Feb. 11th (Sat)

When we arrived at the study center, I met my host family right away. Remi and Genie brought posters that they wrote down my name on. I was very nervous, but I was happy when they hugged me. On our way home, my host family introduced themselves to me in a car. They spoke to me about many things, but I couldn't speak well.

After we arrived home, Alissa led me to my room. My room was very beautiful. The wallpaper design on the ceiling was the sky. When I turned off the light, the design changed, and I saw the night sky. Then, we ate lunch together at home. It was delicious. We next went to a supermarket H-mart, a general store and an icecream shop.

After we came back home, I gave my host family some gifts from Japan. I was glad that they were pleased with the gifts. In the evening, we ate pizza for dinner while watching a movie. I was surprised that American pizza was so big. I felt relieved that my host family were really kind to me.

Feb. 12th（Sun）

　In the morning, we played pickleball. I didn't have a sportswear and shoes, so Remi lent me her sportswear and shoes. I had never played pickleball before, so it was difficult for me to play it, but it was fun. We also played basketball and enjoyed running. Remi was a hard trainer! I met Alissa's mother Stevie, and we enjoyed walking together.

In the evening, Ralph's aunt Loran came to our house. That day was Loran's birthday, so I made a birthday cake for Loran with Alissa. We made a very sweet cherry cake.

Feb. 18th（Sat）

　In the morning, I made pancakes with Genie.

I went to Seattle with my host family, Akina Y. and her host family. First, we went to Ralph's workplace, which was a beautiful office. We then went to a seafood restaurant Ivar's for lunch. I ate chicken and French fries. I ate a bite of clam chowder, and it was very good. In several souvenir shops at the surrounding area of Ivar's, many Seattle goods were sold. Then, we rode an attraction called Wings Over Washington. I felt so good with its powerful image. Akina and I held a fish at Pike Place Market. We went to the first Starbucks store too. We went to a Japanese restaurant "Tokyo" for dinner. I don't think it was a Japanese dish, but it was still delicious.

After we came back home, we enjoyed watching a movie "Frozen."

Feb. 19th（Sun）

　In the morning, I played pickleball with my host family. While playing pickleball, Akina Y. and her host family came to join us. We also played billiards. Everyone was good at billiards.

I made udon with tempura for lunch for my host family. I was happy that they told me tempura was good, but I should have made more of it. Everyone used the chopsticks that I gave them, and I was surprised that the way they used them was really good. Then, I had cocoa with marshmallows. It was very sweet and delicious.

In the afternoon, we watched movies "Leroy & Stitch" and "Jaws."

Feb. 25th（Sat）

　In the morning, I made waffles with chocolate with Genie. Then, I made an album of my homestay. It was hard for me to select pictures because we had so many pictures. I was surprised that Alissa had many ornament scissors.

In the afternoon, we went to Chuck E. Cheese's, which was a restaurant with an amusement arcade. We celebrated Jonelle's granddaughter Emma's birthday, and we played a lot of games.

In the evening, Genie's friend and her parents came to our house, and we ate dinner together.

Feb. 26th（Sun）

　In the morning, we played pickleball as usual.

In the afternoon, we went to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. In the aquarium, I had an experience to touch a small shark and a ray with my bare hands. It was a little scary, but interesting. In the zoo, we visited the cage of elephants, which was so big. We saw a lion very closely too.

In the evening, Loran came to our house, and we played some games. I ate macaroni and cheese, which was very good.
