Weekends with Host Family
February 10
It was a holiday to spend with my host family for the first time. At first, I was nervous and couldn't talk much. I spent relaxing time with my host family after all.
February 11
I went to Samantha's school, where she had the play “Peter Pan.” I watched the play with my host family and Haruka's host family. Samantha's act was so great and amazing. Samantha's school seemed to have a festival.

I slept until 11 o'clock, forgetting to set an alarm. I should have been up early to go to Costco. For lunch, I ate pizza. After that, I played card games with Samantha. Then we went to a movie theater to watch “Black Panther” and bought popcorn. The American theater was bigger than a Japanese theater. I was very impressed that the seat can be turned flat like a bed. “Black Panther” was very good and the action was very cool. For dinner, I ate a big humburger at a humburger restaurant. It was so delicious.
We came back home and went to Alissa's house to play. Alissa gave me handmade pudding that looked delicious. From 10 o'clock I played with Samantha a lot and laughed a lot. She was so funny.

I got up early because we planned to go to a swimming pool. I ate the pudding that I had got the night before in the morning, and it was very delicious. I played sports called pickle ball that was like tennis. After that, we swam in the pool with Samantha, Jonelle, Reimi, and Jeimi. The pool had very deep and shallow places. In the very deep place, we can dive, so we dived twice and I enjoyed swimming. I was able to spend a lot of things to do for the first time with Reimi and Jeimi, and I enjoyed it very much. Jonelle bought French fries at a McDonald's because we were very hungry on our way back from the pool. I was glad because I love Mac's French fries. Samantha was tired, but when we arrived home, she became energetic again and we watched TV together.

We stayed at home in the morning and went to Seattte in the afternoon. Seattle had a lot of interesting stores. We went to the famous market, and Samantha and I caught a big fish at its fish store. When we got on the Ferris Wheel, the scenery of Seattle was beautiful. Next, we got on a flying ride called “Wings over Washington.” I felt like flying over the State of Washington, heading to a big screen with fog and wind in a leaning seat. I felt like I was really in the air. It was a wonderful attraction, so if you go to Seattle, you should try it by all means.
For dinner, we went to a dumpling restaurant in a mall. The dinner was very tasty and I ate a lot. Samantha's favorite chocolate shop was near the restaurant, so we went there too. The shop was so fashionable. My family took me to great places all day and we ate luxurious dinner. It was a very fulfilling day.

We went to church in the morning. In the afternoon, Jason and Samantha went out, so Jonelle and I prepared dinner at home. For dinner, we cooked turkey because I had said I would like to eat it before. The dinner Jonelle made was always luxurious and tasty. Samantha and Jason came home and Samantha surprised me. I was so surprised to be hilarious that Jonelle and I made a plan to suprise back Samantha. We always enjoyed talking a lot during dinner. After that, I made cookies. I tried to eat freshly baked cookies, but they were too hot, so Samantha cooled them with a ceiling fan. It was so interesting. Then my plan with Jonelle to surprise Samantha went successful, when Samantha was very surprised. It was fun all day.
