The Weekends

Feb.9 (Sat)

It was the first day to spend with my host family. Jonelle made us breakfast.

I went to supermarkets with Jonelle, Samantha, Alissa, Remi, Genie and Natsumi in the evening. I was happy to go to Costco.

After we came back home, I watched the movie “Beauty and the Beast” with Samantha.

I went to Alissa's house with my host family and we played the card game “Apple&Apple.” It was difficult.

In the evening I gave my host family Japanese souvenirs, and we talked about Japan. The day was so nice.

I wanted to go to Costco.

A lot of snow piled up that day. I spent the time relaxed in the morning. I watched anime and played card games with Samantha in the evening.

Chickien casserole which I ate at dinner was so delicious.

Samantha and I also played games and listened to music. It was fun.

I went to Seattle by train with my host family and Natsumi's host family. We got on the Ferris Wheel.

We ate lunch at a seafood restaurant called lvar's, where I had wanted to go. It was delicious.

After that I caught a big fish at Pike Place Market. I enjoyed shopping and we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

My host family took me to a restaurant called Cheesecake Factory. Jonelle told me about the restaurant and I said, “I want to go there,” so I was happy. A big piece of cheesecake was very good.

We went to church in the morning, and we listened to some music and talk. After that I went to the nail salon where Samantha regularly goes.

We went to an American sushi resutaurant for lunch. I ate many kinds of California rolls. I spent a great time while talking with my host family.

In the evening I watched the movie “Titanic” with Jonelle. Jason made a fire in the fireplace, so I felt the good atmosphere. When we finished watching the movie, we were both crying.

Samantha went to school for her play, and I went to Seattle with Jason and Jonelle. We tried “A Flying Ride,” which made us feel like we are actually traveling in the air, and it was so exciting. We took a ferry and I enjoyed sightseeing in Seattle.

After that we ate clam chowder at lvar's while looking at the sea.

In the evening I watched the movie “A Star Is Born” with Jonelle. I had a wonderful time with my host family.

After we came back home, I cooked Japanese dish Nikujaga for my host family. They said it was delicious, and even took it for lunch the next day. I gave them the recipe card. I was happy.

I had a lot of memories on my last weekend with my host family.

It was completed.
