Weekends

Feb.17(Sat)
I took a walk with Karen. We talked a lot and walked, and she also taught me about the facilities for cars, golf, and swimming. After that, we went to Kim's house. After walking with Karen and Max, I explained to Kim about Japan. It was helpful to practice answering various questions that I had been preparing about the current events. I was surprised that the TV was big at Kim's house. I played basketball and various games with Kyle. I also played board games with Kim, Emily, and Kyle while waiting for lunch. I had macaroni & cheese for lunch. I ate two kinds of cheese, and it was delicious. After I finished eating, I gave them a souvenir from Japan as a present. I was very happy that Kim and Emily prepared souvenirs for me.
In the afternoon, we went to a shopping mall, Westfield Southcenter, and I made a stuffed husky doll with Emily at a shop called Build A Bear . On my way home, we went to a coffee shop called Dutch Bros. We had a smoothie together. That night, I ate a hamburger made by Kim. It was juicy and very delicious.

Let's play a board game together!

George made breakfast for me. Karen and George watched Christian programs on TV together every Sunday. I also tried, but the content was too difficult for me to understand. After that, I went to Costco with George and Karen. I was surprised that the sausage in the hot dock was much thicker than that in Japan. Then I went to another supermarket and bought some turkey and fruit for lunch.
I wasn't feeling very well that day, so I went home and slept for about two and a half hours. I had Caesar salad, potato cheese soup for dinner. The dinner was served almost buffet style, so I could eat as much as I wanted. We watched comedy together on TV, and I went to sleep.

George's breakfast!

It's big and delicious!

Feb.24(Sat)
Rin's host mother, Melody, took us to a coffee shop in the morning, and ordered the same caramel coffee as Rin. I enjoyed spending the time we had coffee with Melody. After that, Melody taught me how to use nail sheets.  After that, I went to the coast with Rin, Melody, and Mike. The wind was very strong, but I had a good time.
When I came back, we went to Almond Roca, whichis  a chocolate shop. We had been there before, but it was closed that day. We were able to revenge it. I bought some pretty souvenirs at the shop. The chocolates were very delicious, and I liked them. My family also liked them, so I recommend them as a souvenir. I wrote down the names of George and Karen in kanji, which I had been practicing for a long time. I gave them as gifts to George and Karen. They were very happy, and they displayed them in the room, so I was happy. I made okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza) at night. The temperature of the fire in America and Japan was different, so it was difficult to make it. I was glad that Karen liked it and ate it. I made okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza) well.
Later, I watched old TV shows, such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gillian's IslandI Love Lucy , and Scoopy Doo.

I bought caramel coffee with Melody.

Karen helped me.

I used to eat at least one chocolate every day!

They liked it!

George made breakfast for me. It was so delicious and awesome. I sewed with Karen in the morning. For lunch, I ate fried dumplings that Karen bought at Costco. I had them with two different sauces. They were crispy and very delicious.
I went to Kim's house in the afternoon. When I was sitting on the sofa, Max sat next to me. I didn't have a pet at home, and I didn't have a chance to touch a dog, so I was very healed. Before dinner, I had origami with Emily. It was difficult, but we were able to make some. I gave the origami book I brought from Japan to Emily as a present.
At night, I ate something like yakisoba made by Kim, loosened crab, and okonomiyaki that I made. The ice cream with caramel sauce was very delicious. I tried a soft drink, Dr. Pepper, for the first time. After that, I wrote Emily and Kim's names in kanji and gave them to the two as presents. I was very happy that Kim and Emily prepared sweets, hand gel, and stuffed toys as gifts for me.
When I came back, I continued sewing with Karen and finished it. I was not good at sewing, but Karen taught me politely. It was so cute.

Mar.2(Sat)
I watched the anime Tom & Jerry and The Flintstones in the morning. After that, I went to Target with Karen. We walked around the shopping mall, and I enjoyed shopping. I personally liked to see American mannequins because they were very different from Japanese ones. I bought postcards and accessories at Target. I ate pizza for lunch. I checked the weight of the suitcase that day, and it was too heavy, so I moved some of the contents to another bag.
I went to Kim's house in the evening and played video games with Kyle. It was difficult, but I enjoyed playing the game. After that, I gave Kyle a colored sheet of paper with his name written in kanji. I had salmon meuniere, pasta, and Caesar salad for dinner . All of Karen's dishes were delicious, so I had refills for dinner every time.

Mar.3(Sun)
George made breakfast for me. After that, they took me to the ferry. They put me in the passenger seat of the car so that I could see the view easily. I went there with an explanation.
While waiting for the ferry , I ate hot sandwiches and ice cream. Potato chips were laid under the hot sandwich, and it was delicious. The view from the ferry was superb. I went overboard with Karen a few times, and I was exposed to the wind.
For dinner, we went to The Club Pot, which  is  a restaurant where we eat seafood seasoned with spices with our bare hands. I was very happy that they didn't tell me where we were going beforehand, and they gave me a surprise. I wanted to try this dish once, so it became a great memory for me. I was in a great hurry when two people got lost on the way home, but it was good that we were able to get home safely. At night, we watched the anime Scoopy Doo.

It was awesome!

It was fun!

It was delicious!
