DAY 13: 2/25 (Tues.)
sunny
Visit Mark Twain Elementary School

We spent the whole day visiting Mark Twain Elementary School near the study center. We met so many children from the kindergarten classes to the 5th grade classes.  We made our presentation five times, and met about 300 students in totall.

We taught the children how to count from one to ten in Japanese, and the children asked us some questions about Japan in return. We also enjoyed showing the children how to spell their names in Japanese katakana.

The children were all so nice and cute that we had a very good time all day. We enjoyed having lunch with the children as well as playing with them during the lunch-time recess. We were surprised that many children were smart in class and very active during the recess.

We were totally exhausted by the time we left the school, but our visit was totally successful.  Great job!
