Class, Visit Green River Community College and a Local Retirement Home

We spent our morning class learning how to make and tell stories in English.  We tried hard to tell Laura a Japanese folktale "Momotaro (The Peach Boy)" in English.  It was a little difficult, but fun.

We visited our sister school Green River Community College around noon.  We had lunch at the student center, and then met the three students from Seiryo College who had been studying for the past 5 months at GRCC.  We next looked around some modern buildings on campus.  The campus was huge and full of nature and looked very different from our college in Japan.  We then left the campus for our next destination: a local nursing home.

We visited a nursing home near the study center. A staff member showed us around, and the place was like a beautiful condo or hotel with nice facilities and staff.  We later spent a little time to meet a group of residents, who were having afternoon wine and snacks, and then sang a Japaense song for them and enjoyed talking with them.  The senior people we met were all so nice and cute to talk with.
