Visit UW and Seatle's Waterfront Area

We took a full day excursion to Seattle's waterfront area that day. We first visited the University of Washington, and looked around the campus. We first looked inside a huge library, which looked exactly like the buildings we saw in the Harry Potter movies.
 
We next stopped by a local chocolate store on our way to the Seattle center, and then to Seatle's landmark Space Needle. We went up to the observatory deck, and enjoyed the scenery from above. Some parts of the deck floor were made of glass, and it was a little scary.

We then took a monorail and went to the central area of Seattle. After we had lunch at a hamburger restaurant, Johnny Rockets, we visited the famous  Pike Place Market. We spent a couple of hours looking around the area, buying some souvenirs, including a matching T-shirt. 
 
Our final stop was at Uwajimaya, a Japanese grocery store, and we did a little shopping for our host families or friends and families in Japan.

We totally enjoyed the whole tour in very good weather that day.
