When I first heard about the study abroad program at Seiryo College, I thought I wanted to live by myself in the new place. I also wanted to make a big challenge while I was a student. My parents agreed with my studying abroad. I told them why I wanted to do it, what I wanted to do and how I wanted to grow up. I worried about studying abroad because I wasn't good at English, but I became pleased with studying abroad thanks to Naoko, Sayaka, Mizuka and Ms. Seki.

I was excited with the new life in the US, but I was irritated because people couldn't understand what I said at first. About 1 month later I started to talk with my classmates from foreign countries because I thought it was a waste of time and money to talk only with Japanese people. After that, I made many friends, and I tried to talk to them more. My teacher and host family said to me,You don't care about failure because English is the second language for you.” I thought even if people didn't understand what I said, I tried to tell with gestures. Most of my friends were Asian, and I learned their culture from them. Knowing other cultures also made me notice good points of Japanese culture. I spent days like a dream thanks to my host family, teachers and friends. I'm grateful to all the people I have met. Thank you so much.

Through studying abroad, I felt that it is important to have confidence in myself and act positively, so I try to do whatever by myself such as to say my opinion and act positively. This studying abroad was a very valuable experience for me and my life.

I didn't have confidence, and I wasn't good at English before studying abroad. I studied abroad in order to change myself. I think you will learn the goodness of the challenge and the importance to make efforts. You can change yourself in 6 months, so if you want to change yourself and challenge something, please take the first step for yourself.

Thank you so much!!
