I have been interested in English and wanted to go abroad since I was in junior high school. Also, I got more interested in studying abroad in high school. I learned Seiryo Junior College had the studying abroad program and I decided to enter the college. I studied English hard for the studying abroad program at college. Time flew by so fast since I decided to take part in the program. However, I got more and more anxious while I was getting ready.

It was my first trip abroad, so everything was new to me. Especially, I was surprised at my classmates' active attitude and I got negative when the class first started. Therefore, I sometimes used to feel our group work was painful. I guess I was not used to speaking or listening to English at that time. However, I came to accept my lack of English skills after about a month. I think it was because it took away some of my tension and anxiety. I was trying not to think too much about things I could not do all of the time. However, I had a lot of things to do like homework and presentations. I was conscious of starting them earlier because my English skills were lower than classmates'. Also, I sometimes could not have a conversation with my host family because of my lack of English skills, but I tried to think of some topics and ask questions during dinner and going to school with them.

I realized the importance of acting actively no matter how much my English skills were. I think I realized it because I never forgot my dream of being able to communicate in English, and studied hard at GRC. Also, I tried to take the stance of absorbing all of knowledge. Also, it was also good experience that I could learn other cultures, and I took care of myself. I think I had a valuable time.

I really appreciate my parents, my teachers, my fost family and friends who went to America together for their support. Thank you very much.
