Feb. 16 (Sat)      In the morning, we went to a restaurant for Virginian traditional dishes   in Tacoma. I was surprised that there were many people and the dishes were in a very big size.  The meal was so delicious!!  After that, we went to the Tacoma campus of the University of Washington.  It was so beautiful.  We went to a cupcake shop next.  The cupcake was so sweet that I couldn't eat more than half of it.      In the afternoon, Marianne, Luna and I went for a walk.  I asked Marianne about her job and talked about the dog.  We met some people walking their dogs.  In the evening, we watched "Pocahontas" on DVD.  It was so fun.

Feb. 17 (Sun)    Marianne took me to a Baby Shower in Olympia. I saw cute cake and fruits that looked like a baby.  I talked with some people, but it was difficult for me to catch their words.     In the evening, Marianne, Heidi, Lauren and I went to the movies .  I was suprised during the movie because people loud in a loughed voice watching the movie.  I also compared American fliers with Japanese ones that day. There were many coupons in American fliers.

Feb. 23 (Sat)    Adam and Marianne took me to the Pacific Ocean and the State of Oregon.   I felt so sorry because there was nothing much to see on the beach.  It was so fun because I saw many good shops near the sea, though.  After that, we went to Portland, Oregon.  I saw nostlagic buildings and the nice nature.  We went to a mall, which looked expensive, but was very fun to look around!!    In the evening, we watched a movie called the "Hot Rod" at home.  Adam was laughing at the movie.

Feb. 24 (Sun)    After lunch, Marianne, Lauren and I went to a nail salon.  Lauren was good at nail care, and had a lot of manicure!! I was suprised that it didn't cost much to get your toe nails done.  Adam came to pick us up and we went to a Thai restaurant for lunch.  I liked some kind of egg rolls there.      After we came back home, we watched a lot of movies.

Mar. 2 (Sat)    Marianne's boss, Heidi, Marianne and I had lunch in a   Virginian restaurant.  The lunch was so delicious. Marianne's boss gave me some candy!! It was so cute.   Everone in the restaurant was so kind and asked me about Japanese culture.  They gave me some dishes.  We said  Marianne's boss good-bye, and Lauren and her friend came with us.  We went to a mall and enjoyed shopping.  They showed me funny fashion style and I had a very nice time!

 

Mar. 3 (Sun)    We went to Heidi's birthday party.  I had a chance to talk ith Adam's relatives.  We had Mexican dishes, and then I saw people say their prayers before the meal for the first time.  I was a little nervous, but Adam's family asked me about Japanese culture, my school and my American experience.  I talked a lot there and had a great time.  I was happy because I met Adam's family.  I would like to meet them again.
