Ben is always gentle and smiling. When he spoke to me, he was always smiling. He is good at cooking and I baked some cookies and pies with him. They were very delicious. Also he is good at carving something out of wood.

Gwen

(Host Mother)

Gwen cared about me and was very cheerful. I always spent time with her during my stay. She is from Texas and taught me Texas dialect a little. She spoke to me slowly in easy English for me to understand. Her hobby is bowling and she goes bowling with Hannah every Monday.

Hannah

(Host Sister)

Hannah is very cheerful and powerful. Her hobby is diving and she works part-time at a diving shop. She seemsd busy because she had a lot of homework, did a baby-sitting and so on. She likes Japan and she has a lot of Japanese goods. When I spoke wrong English, she corrected my mistakes. She is like a good teacher for me.

Cola

(Cat)

Cola is a shy and freewheeling cat. He scratched me on the hand twice. I often used a laser pointer and played with him and Cider.

Cider

Cider is a friendly and pampered cat. When I had free time, I always played with him. I often played with him with a laser pointer and a string.

Fresca

(Ferret)

Fresca is friendly and likes sleeping. When I held him, he often slept on my knee. He got along with Fanta. They often slept together and chased each other around. He liked narrow and dark places.

Fanta

Fanta is a glutton and lively ferret. He often ran about in a room. I was surprised when he was hiding in snack shelves.
