DAY 12: 2/27 (Mon.)
sunny
Visit Evergreen Heights Elementary School
We spent the whole day visiting Evergreen Heights Elementary School near the study center. We visited eight classrooms in total from the 1st graders to the 5th graders during the stay, and taught the children how to count from one to ten in Japanese, and the children asked us some questions about Japan in return. We also enjoyed showing the children how to spell their names in Japanese katakana.
The children were all so nice and cute that we had a very good time all day. We enjoyed having lunch with the children as well as playing with them during the recess before lunch. We were surprised that many children were smart in class and very active during the recess.
We went on visiting classes in the afternoon and even joined their fire drill. We finally left the school with a great success. Great job!
