Class, Visit Federal Way Police Department and the Courthouse 

We spent the morning class getting ready for our visit to the police department that day.

In the afternoon, we visited a local police department, which is located in the same building as the city hall of Federal Way.  Kara joined us that day too.  We had a staff, Michelle, show us around and answer some questions about the police work in the area.  It was the very first time to look around in the police station, which was very interesting.

We then visited the Federal Way Municipal Courts, which is also in the same building as the city hall and the police department.  We met Judge Larson there, and asked him some questions.  Judge Larson was so kind that he let us put on a gown for a judge and take pictures.  We had never been to a courthouse even in Japan, so it was a very interesting experience to look around.
