DAY 14: 2/26 (Wed.)
rainy, later sunny
Craft Day

Time was running so fast!  We couldn't believe that our stay was getting over soon. We spent the whole day making our memory journals and photo frames for host families. We tried hard to make them as pretty and memorable as we could.

We had a few guests come over in the afternoon. First, Nana's host mother Jane and Haruna's host mother Gwen came to teach us how to make a pretty message card. Then, a Japanese-American lady, who used to be a high school principal, came to see us with some souvenir chocolates. She was eager to seek some information about her family history back in Niigata and Fukushima, Japan. And finally, a police officer with her partner police dog came to visit us. The dog Luna, which is a bomb dog, were very well-trained, and we enjoyed her company.
