DAY 16: 3/1 (Fri.)
cloudy, later rainy
Class, and Go Bowling

We spent the morning completing our memory photo frame for our host families as well as our memory journal, which included our best memories in America, a recipe for Japanese food, a thank-you letter, and so on. We had a special guest this morning: Ms. Laura Campbell, who used to work as a teacher/guide so many times. Laura, who is very good at bowling, gave us an impromptu bowling lesson because she learned that we were going bowling that afternoon.

We went to a nearby restaurant, Applebee's, for lunch, and enjoyed hamburgers. As we had expected, the humburgers were so big that we shared one with two people. It was still yummy, of course.

We went to a bowling alley after lunch, and enjoyed bowling. Some host families came to see us and cheer us on, too. We bowled for two games, and most of us became better bowlers in the second game thanks to Laura's lesson. Thank you, Laura.
