DAY 02: 2/21 (Fri.)

First Day at the Study Center: Orientation, Community Tour, and Welcome Party

This was our first day at the study center. In the morning, we had an orientation class where we introduced ourselves to Laura, and she explained how to stay safe in America.

After lunch, we went on a short community tour to a nearby shopping mall, The Commons at Federal Way, to look around. The weather wasn’t very good that day, so we didn’t visit other places, but the mall itself was fascinating to explore.

In the evening, we had a welcome potluck party at the study center. We enjoyed trying authentic American food and chatting with our host families, asking them many questions. It was a wonderful party!
