Class and  Visit to City Hall 

In the morning, we learned about coins in America and spent the rest of the time preparing for the afternoon visit. 

In the afternoon, we visited Federal Way City Hall. First, we went to the police department in the building, where Deputy Police Chief Sumpter gave us a short lecture about their work. We asked him some questions, and he kindly answered them. We also had a small tour of the department and saw many officers and police vehicles.

Next, we visited the municipal court on the same premises and met Judges Larson and Bales. Judge Larson first gave us a chance to put on a judge's robe and take pictures with him. Both judges kindly answered our questions and talked about their work.

Our final stop was the Mayor's office, where we met Mayor Jim Ferrell. He told us about his job and answered our questions. He even showed us around his office. Later during our stay, we learned that we were featured in a local paper or newsletter.  Good job .
