DAY 02: 2/20 (Fri.)

First Day at the Study Center: Orientation, Community Tour, and Welcome Party

This was our first day at the study center. In the morning, we had an orientation where we introduced ourselves to Laura, and she gave us tips on staying safe in America.

After lunch, we went on a short community tour to a nearby shopping mall, The Commons at Federal Way. The weather wasn’t great, so we stayed mostly at the mall, but we enjoyed the tour anyway.

In the evening, we had a welcome potluck party at the study center. We had a great time trying authentic American food and chatting with our host families. It was a wonderful start to our stay!
