Sukhvinder Sukhvinder is my host mother. She seemed to be always busy with her job and housework, but she made delicious meals for us every day. She made me laugh by saying jokes, so she was good company. When I caught a cold, she took me to a hospital and bought me some fruits. She was very nice to me like my real family. |
Harpal Harpal is my host father. He observed his family silently. He seemed to be happy when he talked with his wife and children. He introduced some interesting Indian movies and American movies to me. He also talked with me casually like Sukhvinder. |

Jeeven Jeeven is my host brother. He is 17 years old, but I felt he was older than me. When I talked about it, everyone laughed. He likes basketball and American football. Of course, his favorite American football team is SEAHAWKS. He is younger than me, but he is like a reliable older brother. |

Gina Gina is my host sister. She is 14 years old. We went shopping to buy some cosmetics and clothes together. She sometimes helped my homework. And she always made me feel relieved and relaxed. She is my host sister, but she is like my older sister. |

Taj Taj is also my host brother. I think he is the life of the party. He was sometimes scolded by his mother because of fighting with Gina, but he is still a very cute brother. He can play the violin, and I enjoyed listening to him play the violin. |

Nu Nu was my roommate from Vietnam. She used to live together with us for three months. She is 17 years old, but she is a reliable student. We studied at the same campus, so we went to and left school together almost every day. She left Seattle in December, but we still keep in touch. She is also like my younger sister. |
My host family's house was located nearby a high school, so there were a lot of students in our neighborhood . On the days for some events and weekends, our neighborhood became busy. The residential area is the best place to study because there is a quiet place almost every day. I didn't have to put on shoes in the house, so it was easy for me. There were three bathrooms in my home, and I used the main bathroom. My host family allowed me to put my friends up at home freely. I walked about 20 minutes from my home to the bus stop to go to school, and it took about 45 minutes from there to Kent Station. I needed to transfer going to the Auburn campus. It took about one hour . On my way back home, my host famiy picked me up at the bus stop. My host family was always busy, but they attended to me like my real family. I like them so much. |
