Cherrey

Cherrey is very kind and always cared about me. She cooks well and has many variations of dishes. I always looked foward to having dinner.

Jeppoy

Jeppoy is playful, and he often told me jokes and surprised me. Also, he often said, “Can I take you to the bus stop?” when I went to school or went out.

Sherry

Sherry started to live in the Ruguian house with me. She stayed with us for 3 months. She is 2 years older than me and an academic student at Green River College. She was like my older sister and she always helped me out when I had trouble. She loves Japanese cartoon. She particularly loves “Detective Conan.”

My host family always cared about me just like their real child.They were a very good family. They took me to some tourist spots in Seattle on weekends. We also went shopping. I walked from home to the bus stop about 30 minutes, and it took about five minutes from the bus stop to the college. Jeppoy often drove me to the bus stop in the morning. Cherrey picked me up at the college after she finished her work. We talked about the events of the day or Japan in the car or at dinner time. They corrected my pronunciation and expressions whenever I was wrong. Having conversation with them was very educational every day.
