In the morning, I ate cereal, bread, yogurt, and bananas. I don't like sweets, so at first I thought all food was so sweet, but I was getting used to it after all.

At lunch time, I sometimes made a sandwich or brought a cup noodle from home. At school, they have a cafe where we can buy hamburgers, French fries and soup. Also, they have a microwave and hot water at the cafeteria, so we can bring anything.

My host mother likes vegetables, so all the meals had some. I didn't think the food was very different from Japanese food. When my host mother was busy with her job, I ate American food such as pizza or hamburgers a few times.

The class finished at 16:00, and I went to a school gym once a week. I worked out and played sports such as volleyball and basketball. I made friends from Academic level classes by playing the sports together, so I recommend you all doing it.

Also, I went to the library with my friends after class, when we studied hard.

I like shopping, so I usually went shopping with my friends and my host family. I usually went to a shopping mall and downtown Seattle by bus. When I went shopping, I found some new things. That's why I liked going shopping. Also, my host mother took me to a lot of places such as an aquarium, a zoo and other sightseeing places.

On a heavy snow day, I watched movies with my host sister. I learned English when I watched them with subtitles.

In the level 2 class, I made a Jack-o'-lantern. It was my first time to make one. I went to a pumpkin patch to choose my own pumpkin.

I joined a Halloween party at GRC. I wore a cosutume for the party. I enjoyed dancing, taking pictures, and eating.

Children in our neighborfood came to our house to get snacks. My host mother prepared many snacks to give them. I enjoyed helping my host mother.

My host mother has a relative in Oregon, so we went there. I ate mashed potatos and a turkey. Brefore we ate dinner, we each told things which we thanked for. After we ate the meal, we went to a shopping mall. They had a sale called Black Friday that day, and there were many pepole there until midnight.

On Christmas day, my host family went to California, so I was home alone. My host mother gave me a perfume as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, there wasn't a Christmas tree in our house, but there was a Christmas tree in a shopping mall. Also, the houses in our neighborhood had a lot of illumination.

During the winter vacation, I went to California with my friends. We went to Santa Monica Beach on the first day. On the next day, we enjoyed going to Disneyland. On the final day, we went to Disney California Adventure.

Also, we went to Canada for 2 days. It was easy to go there because Seattle is close to Canada. Vancouver has a lot of sightseeing spots.

At Space Needle, there is a countdown with fireworks every year. I went there and saw it with my friends. We were waiting for 6 hours, and it was so cold. There were many pepole there. After that, we went back to Kent station by bus. There were no buses anymore from Kent station because it was very late. That's when we used the Uber service, and we came back home. It was a good memory too.

I was happy because it was my first time to spend New Year in America. I didn't eat mochi, but it was still a great New Year.
