Visit to Police Department and City Hall 

In the morning, we visited Federal Way City Hall. First, we toured the police department inside the building, where the deputy police chief gave us a short lecture about their work. He kindly answered all our questions. It was fascinating to see the officers, police vehicles, and the entire facility. We even had a chance to take a mock mugshot of Misaki in the booking area!

Next, we visited the Mayor’s office and met Mayor Jim Ferrell. He explained his role and answered our questions, even giving us a personal tour of his office. It was another very interesting experience.

We had been looking forward to visiting a local nursing facility in the afternoon, but it was canceled because a cold was going around and they wanted to prevent it from spreading. Instead, we spent the afternoon reflecting on our morning visit.
